"Oh They Say When You Marry In June..."

I love old adages like the one around which this song is built.

I also love the ones you'll find in nursery rhyme books, like this one:

Monday's child is fair of face,
Tuesday's child is full of grace,
Wednesday's child is full of woe,
Thursday's child has far to go,
Friday's child is loving and giving,
Saturday's child works hard for a living,
But the child who is born on the Sabbath Day
Is bonny and blithe and good and gay.

My parents tell stories of my little sister's unexpected birthdate Sunday morning... on the way to church.

Apparently that means she's hit the jackpot.

There were no stories indicating the day of the week I was born, so I googled a what-day-of-the-week-was-I-born generator (Google has everything) and learned I was born on a Thursday.

Dangit.

  1. Haha, sorry Thursday girl. Be thankful you missed Wednesday though!

Thank you for posting the handy-dandy link to the calculator. Did I really want to know though?? I'm born on Monday...haha, good vanity boost.
