"Que Sera Sera Whatever Will Be, Will Be"

Today, a thought to ponder.

How much better would you be at some things now if you were to go back to high school than when you were actually IN high school? Would you be a better scholar? A better singer? Cheer leader? Dancer? Actor? Sports player?

Would you even be worse?

It's interesting to think just HOW MUCH education, age/maturity, and obviously life experience play a part in shaping who you are and how you look at/live your life.

Some people 'peak' in their high school years, some people swear they'd never go back.

Whichever you choose, you know you secretly have a long list of do's and don'ts for the high school you when they eventually do invent time travel.

Like never wear that outfit for your yearbook photo. Or ever.

"Willkommen Bienvenue Welcome"

Hi. To both you and myself.

This is officially my first blog post ever. Now you know and I know.

Moving on.

I think I will dedicate this blog neither to an in-depth documentation of my remedial daily activities nor to philistine personal opinions, as so many others seem to do, but instead to creations unique, discoveries utterly fascinating, and noteworthy contemplations.

And with that I give you my first posted discovery: Bombastic.

I've been studying for the GRE, which I take in about a week, and I came across this word amongst the large pile of vocabulary that composed half of the flash card deck (that's right, I got FLASH CARDS. Both fun, and educational. Win.)

Anyway, the word Bombastic essentially means "someone who uses pretentious inflated speech or writing." (See? It says so right here in Webster's Dictionary)

I know, it's not THAT complex, and many people already know what it means, but every time I read it I can't help but revel in the pure irony the word now possesses. It is it's own walking contradiction. No one can say "My word, that fellow's speech was bombastic." without being being bombastic themselves. Ha.

Yup. Still funny.
